1. Can’t wait 2016

Since the beginning of the year, I have been looking forward to so many books that are coming out in 2016. Narrowing it down to my Top 5 might just kill me, so this topic will be split into a few different posts, so that it won’t be too long.

  1. The Crown by Kiera Cass

The Crown is the fifth and final book in The Selection series, which is a bit sad but really exciting, because I really want to find out what happens. The Selection series is known especially for its beautiful covers, and The Crown was no disappointment. The classic Princess Eadlyn purple really tops it off. In The Heir, Princess Eadlyn is having a selection of her own. 35 suitors are competing for her heart, and she is making it very difficult for them. Waiting to find out what happens in this selection is so hard for me, because I am so in love with this series, and I want Eadlyn to make the right decision.

2. Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard

Glass Sword is the second book in the Red Queen series. I read Red Queen in March, and I was so shocked by the ending, the plot twists, the story line, and the romance! I am so excited to read Glass Sword, especially since the cover is so gorgeous. In Red Queen, Mare, the main character is a Red. Reds are people in the country with red blood. They have no powers, and they are considered unworthy, to the Silvers. Silvers are people with silver blood. They have powers, such as controlling lightning, fire and water. But when Mare finds out that someone who she loves dearly needs to be saved, she must go into Silver territory, and try to save him. Little does she know, that going into the Silver’s land, will mean so much more than just saving someone.

3. Heartless by Marissa Meyer

Heartless is a stand-alone novel about the Queen of Hearts.

Long before she was the terror of Wonderland — the infamous Queen of Hearts — she was just a girl who wanted to fall in love.” – Marissa Meyer (website)

I’m so excited for this novel, as I am in love with the Lunar Chronicles, which is also by Marissa Meyer. Marissa Meyer writes the best spin-offs of fairytales. I don’t think I will ever be tired of fairytales, but if I ever do, I will just read The Lunar Chronicles, and I will fall back in love with them. (Cover yet to be revealed)
