You know those books that you read, where you have just finished it, you are about to have a book hangover and all of a sudden it hits you. You can’t read that again, without knowing what happens. You can’t have that same racing heart-beating feeling that you have when you read a book for the first time. Well this, is my Top 5 list of books which I wish I could read for the first time again, in no particular order. (Although I don’t know if they actually are the Top 5, since I had to narrow this list down so much)
To me, Revived is one of those books where you read it, and then if you want to read it again, you really don’t want to know what happens. I am definitely going to be reading this book again, and hopefully I will have read enough books in between to not really remember what happens.
It started with a bus crash.
Daisy Appleby was a little girl when it happened, and she barely remembers the accident or being brought back to life. At that moment, though, she became one of the first subjects in a covert government program that tests a drug called Revive.
Now fifteen, Daisy has died and been Revived five times. Each death means a new name, a new city, a new identity. The only constant in Daisy’s life is constant change.
Then Daisy meets Matt and Audrey McKean, charismatic siblings who quickly become her first real friends. But if she’s ever to have a normal life, Daisy must escape from an experiment that’s much larger–and more sinister–than she ever imagined. (Goodreads description)
