Best Covers of 2015

So… this post is a little late, considering it is already the 10th of January, but I couldn’t help looking back at all the books I read last year, and thinking about all those beautiful covers.

Oh and sorry I haven’t posted in a while! Thanks for bearing with me, since my brain still isn’t fully functioning due to lack of business and constant reading…

I also don’t know which one is my favourites, but here are a few that I really liked:

1. The Selection by Kiera Cass

If you regularly read my blog posts, you should well know how much I love The Selection books and the covers! I can’t decide on my favourite cover, all though I really love the colour of The Selection. It is such a gorgeous blue. Click here for a my first ever post, as well as the review of the first book.

3. The Jewel by Amy Ewing

The Jewel has a similar cover style to Kiera Cass’s books, also with an extravagant and beautiful dress!

The dress matches the description in the book so well, and as I was reading the book, I had to keep flipping from the page I was on, to the front cover, and back and forth.

4. The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

untitled-3

These covers are so fairytale-like that even though they are not as obviously beautiful like The Selection, they do have beautiful qualities, and all together, the series looks incredible. My favourite cover would have to be Winter though, especially since it captures my attention the most, from the glowing around the apple. Click here for a very short review of the series, as well as some of my other favourite series.

5. Defy by Sara B. Larson

Although I have only read the first book in this series, I am reading the second book, Ignite, I found that individually, these books are nice, but all together, they are outstanding! Click here for a short review of Defy.

6. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Also known as The Juliette Chronicles, Shatter Me, and the rest of the series have magnificent and detailed covers. I must say though, Ignite Me is my favourite, as I love Spring and flowers. But all together… these covers are incredible. Click here for a very short review of The Juliette Chronicles, as well as more of my favourite series.

7. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman

Ok, so once again, I have only read the first book, These Broken Stars, and I have the other two books very high on my TBR list. I love the dresses on both the first and third books, but I think I would have to say that These Broken Stars is my favourite cover out of all of them.

8. Slated by Teri Terry

I don’t actually know whether these covers are creepy or pretty, but I am just going to say that it’s somewhere in between. Fractured is my favourite out of these, but they are all such creative covers, it was hard to pick. Click here for a very short review of the series, as well as some of my other favourite series.

9. The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski

16069030

The dress is absolutely gorgeous, and I love the font that they used, especially on the letter R.

This cover is also so creative, bringing the words into the picture as well, as Kestrel, the main character is holding the letter R.

10. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Looking at these covers, makes me realise that I cannot wait for the ninth of February, when Glass Sword will finally be released! Once I have re-read Red Queen, and read Glass Sword, I will be posting a spoiler-free review, so stay tuned. I do think that I like Red Queen’s cover more, but maybe that is partly because I own Red Queen, and have it in person, whereas for Glass Sword, I have only seen images.
